Individual therapy
A steady place to work through trauma.
Online sessions of 45 or 60 minutes for adults in California and Nebraska. We start with what matters to you now.

What sessions are like
Some people come to therapy with one experience they want to address. Others notice that something from the past keeps showing up now: in their body, their sleep, their relationships, or how safe they feel. Both are good places to start.
In our first sessions I'll ask what you want me to understand, what has helped before, and what hasn't. We'll agree on a focus and adjust it as we go.
Sessions are by video. You'll need a private place to talk and a reliable connection, and you'll need to be in California or Nebraska while we meet.
Approaches I draw on
We only use an approach after I've explained it and you've agreed to try it.
- EMDR
- A structured approach that pairs brief attention to a memory with bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements or taps.
- Internal Family Systems
- Getting to know the different parts of yourself, including the protective ones, with curiosity instead of force.
- Somatic Experiencing
- Noticing what happens in your body as we talk, and practicing ways to let it settle.
- Structural Dissociation
- A framework for understanding how different parts of a person can carry different responses to trauma.
- Mindfulness
- Short practices for staying present, used when they help and set aside when they don't.

Talk through fit
We talk about what's bringing you in, how I work, fees and times. You can ask anything, and you don't have to decide on the spot.
Your first session
If we both think it's a fit, we set a first appointment and I send you what you need to join.
Common questions
Do I need to know what I want to work on?
No. Plenty of people start with "something isn't right" and work out the focus with me over the first few sessions.
I've tried therapy before and it didn't help. Is this different?
I can't promise it will be, but I'd want to hear what didn't work so we don't repeat it. Sometimes the approach, the pace, or the fit was the problem.
Can I have sessions from anywhere?
You need to be physically in California or Nebraska during each session, because those are the states where I'm licensed. Within them, anywhere private with a good connection works.
How often would we meet?
We'll agree on a rhythm that suits what you're working on, your schedule and your budget, and change it if it stops fitting.
