Workshops

Compassionate Witnessing

Katie is developing small online workshops for learning and practicing together.

Practice listening with care

When someone tells us something painful, most of us rush to help: advice, reassurance, a fix. Compassionate Witnessing practices a different response. You listen closely, stay present, and let the other person be heard without trying to solve them.

It's useful for anyone who listens to other people's hard stories, at work or at home.

What a workshop could include

  1. Learn

A short introduction to the difference between listening, advising and fixing, and a guided meditation to arrive.

  2. Practice

A demonstration, then practice in small groups with clear guidelines for taking part.

  3. Reflect

Time to notice what felt useful or hard, and what you want to carry into everyday conversations.

Dates, cost and format will be posted here once a workshop is scheduled. If you'd like to hear when that happens, send me a note.
